Earth Day with National Geographic: Oceans Tomorrow

Earth Day 2023 – National Geographic

For Earth Day 2023, I directed a bilingual event for National Geographic Japan, bringing together leading Explorers and Japanese changemakers. The program featured intimate conversations and live storytelling about the future of our planet—from biodiversity and climate resilience to grassroots sustainability efforts happening in Japan and beyond.

The show was designed as a dialogue between science and local experience—between global urgency and personal commitment. Each guest shared real-world projects that gave the audience a grounded sense of how environmental action takes shape on the front lines.

In a time when climate stories often feel overwhelming or distant, our goal was to remind viewers that change begins with people—scientists, students, farmers, and filmmakers—working together across borders and generations.
