Shiori Itō and the Rise of #MeToo in Japan

One of the first in Japan to cover Shiori Itō’s story, Kristoffer directed a live editorial show on #MeToo, gender violence, and media responsibility for HuffPost Japan. This bilingual program, filmed during a moment of national reckoning, aimed to amplify voices often left out of mainstream media.

Shiori Itō

The show aired live across social platforms and featured in-depth conversations on legal reform, societal silence, and the challenges survivors face. It was part journalism, part public discourse—crafted not just to inform, but to shift the cultural narrative.

The program is in Japanese, but English subtitles are available via YouTube (click CC).
